INUPLAN STARTS A NEW ENVIRONMENTAL DEPARTMENT
The 2nd of May 2011 Inuplan A / S starts a new environmental department with four employees.
The new department is a natural action to a growing need for local environmental council in Greenland. Both the government and municipalities and private and all corporations in the mining industry has a great need for consultant assistance on environmental and community related tasks.
By doing so Inuplan is taking an important step towards being able to provide advice within a broad range of engineering and environmental applications, and also creating good conditions to strengthen the knowledge and skills in Greenland.
Inuplan will with the opening of the new environmental department to be an even more powerful and competent partner for both public and private clients in Greenland, and will be able to solve a number of tasks within eg.:
• Waste management and planning
• Reducing the environmental impact
• Self sufficient energy
• Conduct regulatory initiatives
• Environmental approvals
• Watersupply
• Marine environment
• Nature conservation
• Environmental technology, management and supervision
Inuplan can with the new departement develop environmental action plans, waste management plans, wastewater plans, environmental and wildlife impact assessment, nature protection and recovery plans and provide advice within waste CO2/climate/energy, nature conservation, environmental assessment and approval in construction projects and industrial and pollution investigation of soil, water and air, etc.
Especially in the oil and petroleum sector will Inuplan have employees who can produce environmental consequence reviews or EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) and Assessment of Social Sustainability (SSA) or Social Impact Assessment (SIA).
